The 5U1000 from AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation is a solid-state, self-contained, air-cooled, broadband amplifier that operates from 10 KHz to 1000 MHz. The amplifier provides an output power of more than 5 watts when used with a sweep generator and a gain of over 37 dB. This amplifier is designed for applications where instantaneous bandwidth, high gain, and linearity are required. It is available in a contemporary cabinet with Type-N female connectors and measures 10.25 x 4.5 x 11.1 inches. The device is also equipped with front panel gain control which permits the operator to conveniently set the desired output power level.
The 5U1000 can be used in applications like RF susceptibility testing, antenna, and component testing, watt meter calibration, and as a driver for frequency multipliers and higher power amplifiers.
