The AM1149 from Atlanta Micro is a Cascadable Slope Correcting Gain Block that operates from 6 to 26.5 GHz. It provides a gain of 14.5 dB (at 26.5 GHz) with a noise figure of 2.8 dB and has an output P1dB of 13 dBm. This gain block has a positive gain slope of 2 dB across the frequency range which makes it an ideal solution to equalize gain/insertion loss across an RF system. It requires a DC supply of 3.3 V and consumes 91 mA of current. The gain block is available in a QFN package that measures 3 x 3 mm and is ideal for low SWaP applications.
