The CMX901 from CML Microcircuits is an RF Amplifier that operates from 130 to 950 MHz. It delivers an output power of up to 2.5 W with a gain of 40 dB and has a power-added efficiency (PAE) of 60%. The first and second stages of the amplifier operate in a class-A and class-AB mode respectively, and the third stage operates in a class-C mode for maximum efficiency. It requires a single polarity DC supply from 2.5 to 6 V and draws less than 2.2 A of current.
The CMX901 is available in a 28-pin WQFN package that measures 5 x 5 mm and is ideal for use in wireless data communications, analog FM handheld radio terminals, marine AIS Class-B and marine AIS-SART, RFID readers/writers, automatic meter reading (AMR), wireless sensor networks, mesh/Ad hoc systems, remote control and sensing systems, and commercial and consumer communications applications.
