CMX90A702 Image

The CMX90A702 from CML Microcircuits is an MMIC Power Amplifier that operates from 26.5 to 29.5 GHz. It provides a small signal gain of 22.5 dB with a P1dB of up to 26.7 dBm, and a Power Added Efficiency (PAE) of 28%. This three-stage amplifier is easy to monitor and control with an on-chip temperature-compensated RF power detector and fast-switching enable circuit. It uses an enhancement mode (E-mode) pHEMT process to ensure only positive supply voltages are required, thus making a single DC supply operation possible. This power amplifier requires a DC supply of 4 V, consumes a drain current of 360 mA, and a standby current of 1.2 mA.

The CMX90A702 is available in a VQFN-20 package that measures 4 x 4 mm and is ideal for addressing the needs of mmWave 5G New Radio (NR) band n257 and n261. It is also suitable for fixed wireless access (FWA), repeaters and small cells, 5G backhaul, customer premises equipment (CPE) and, passive phased array antenna applications.
