The CMX90G301 from CML Microcircuits is a Positive Gain-Slope Amplifier that operates from 1.4 to 7.1 GHz. It provides a P1 dB of 11.5 dBm @3.5 GHz with a small signal gain of 14.5-15.5 dB. This cascadable MMIC amplifier utilizes GaAs pHEMT process to provide a combination of low DC power, low noise, and high gain. It has a positive gain-slope of 1 dB across the band which eliminates the need for equalization and compensation due to an increase in system losses with frequency. The amplifier requires a DC supply of 2.7-5 V and consumes under 22 mA of current. It is available in a surface-mount package that measures 3 x 3 mm and is ideal for use in Tx and Rx systems, 4G/5G wireless infrastructure, TDD and FDD, IF amplifier, license-free bands, general-purpose gain block, and to eliminate passive equalizer.
