The VSX3695 from CPI is a high power GaN solid state amplifier that operates from 9 to 10 GHz in the X-band. It provides a gain of 58 dB and saturated peak output power of 1 kW while operating from a supply voltage of 50 VDC. This amplifier utilizes GaN transistors to provide high gain, high efficiency and excellent pulse fidelity providing excellent AM/PM, phase-noise and spectral re-growth. The amplifier is available in a module that measures 6 x 1.8 x 10 inches with SMA female connectors and is ideal for pulsed radars, airborne radars and TWTA replacement applications.
