The BHED2758-500 from Comtech PST is a solid state power amplifier that provides 500 watts of power from 20 to 500 MHz. This amplifier has been developed using Class AB LDMOS transistors. It provides 500 watts of CW output power with a gain of 57 dB and a dynamic range of 10.5 dB.
This amplifier is ideal for use in research laboratories or where reliable & accurate linear power is required. It is robustly designed to deliver high power into high VSWR antenna loads, is electronically self-protected and supports multiple modulation schemes (AM/FM/SSB). Power accuracy is maintained through user controlled step attenuators and a fast 100 uS digital ALC loop.
The BHED2758-500 can be controlled remotely or via the front panel display. It has built in fault tolerance and a houses a SPDT Dummy Load Switch as well as an efficient modular AC power supply.
