The AM7700H from Datron World Communications is a Tactical RF Amplifier that operates from 1.6 to 30 MHz. It delivers an output power of 100 W and has harmonics of -50 dBc. This amplifier employs harmonic filters to provide high attenuation of transmitter harmonics and out-of-band signals in transmit mode. It also integrates an automatic level control (ALC) to maintain a stable output over the entire operating frequency range and over fluctuating temperatures. The amplifier includes full antenna VSWR protection, over-temperature/current protection, and over-drive/imbalance protection to prevent short-circuit and reflection-related damages. It requires a DC supply of 28 V.
The AM7700H is designed for use with Datron’s tactical High Frequency (HF) manpack radio to form high-power HF systems and interfaces seamlessly with Datron’s PRC7700H HF transceiver and MT7700H-1 mount. It has undergone shock, vibration, humidity, salt spray, and immersion tests according to MIL-STD-810 military standards. This amplifier is available in an enclosure that measures 4.00 x 11.25 x 8.25 inches with coaxial connectors and is ideal for HF voice, high-speed data, and frequency hopping applications.
