The dB-3758 from dB Control is an Integrated Pulsed Power Module that operates from 9 to 10 GHz. It delivers a peak output power of 1000 W with a gain of 60 dB and has a VSWR of less than 1.5:1. This power amplifier module consists of a solid PIN diode modulator, solid-state driver amplifier, and a mini Traveling Wave Tube (TWT). It synchronizes the switching frequency of the power supply with the clock of the radar system and provides blanking operation when the pulse arrives to ensure extremely low phase noise. This module provides a status indication of critical parameters such as helix current, RF input power, RF output power, and reflected RF power in a digital format.
It can be remotely controlled using differential or TTL logic with integrated forced-air cooling and consists of built-in cathode over-voltage, helix over-current, and excessive duty cycle protection circuitries to prevent over-voltage-related damages. The dB-3758 is available in a module that measures 12 x 9.65 x 4.9 inches with a WR90 waveguide flange output interface and SMA-female input connector. It is ideal for use in multi-mode radars, synthetic aperture radars, and manned, and unmanned vehicle applications.
