The dB-4150 from dB Control is a Microwave Power Module (MPM) that operates from 6 to 18 GHz. It delivers a CW/pulsed output power of 100 W with 50 dB of gain and has a pulse repetition frequency of up to 10 kHz (in pulsed mode). This amplifier has an RF signal path that consists of a solid-state amplifier and a vacuum power booster. The power supply topology uses proprietary low-noise, high-efficiency designs to operate the RF signal path. It achieves pulse modulation of up to 10 kHz to CW using an incorporated high-speed modulator. This MPM includes helix over-current, cathode over-voltage, over-temperature, and reflected RF power TWTA protection features.
The dB-4150 has harmonics of -4 dBc and spurious emissions of -50 dBc. It requires a DC supply of 270 V (28 V optional) and allows forward/reverses power monitoring. This MPM is available in a module that measures 12.9 x 9.4 x 2.6 inches with an SMA-female input connector and TNC-female output connector. It is designed to operate in extreme military environments and is ideal for electronic countermeasures (ECM) and electronic warfare (EW) simulation applications.
