The 2185 high power amplifier system operates from 960 to 1215 MHz and provides up to 10 kW of pulsed power with duty cycles from 0.1% to 5%. This compact and versatile radar transmitting amplifier has flexible operating modes and is ideal for radar component testing, advanced research, and system development. It is also well suited for mobile EW and threat simulator applications. The amplifier sub-drawer boosters employed in this system features multiple high power LDMOS devices that provide wide frequency response, high gain, high peak power capability, and low distortions. The amplifier system includes a built-in control and monitoring system, with protection functions that preserve maximum output availability. Remote management and diagnostics are via an embedded web server allowing network managed site status and control simply by connecting the units Ethernet port to a LAN. Using a web browser and the units IP address (IPV4) allows ease of access with the benefit of multilevel security. The control system core runs an embedded OS (Linux), has a built-in non-volatile memory for event recording, and factory setup recovery features. The extended memory option allows storage of control parameters and event logs.
