The 2210 from Empower RF Systems is a Pulsed Solid State Power Amplifier (SSPA) System that operates from 150 to 450 MHz. It consists of two 5U solid state power amplifiers, two 1U AC/DC power convertors and a 5U control/combining interface assembly. This amplifier system provides a pulsed output power of 12 KW with a gain of 73 dB, has a pulse width from 0.002 to 2 ms and a duty cycle from 1 to 20%. It has a pulse repetition frequency of up to 25 KHz, a pulse droop of 0.7 dB, and a modulated pulse rise time and fall time of 100 and 50 ns, respectively. This amplifier system requires an AC supply voltage of 208 V and consumes up to 8 KVA of power.
The 2210 is available in a rugged, rack-mount enclosure that measures 33.25 x 22.00 x 19.00 inches with N-type female, 7/16-DIN female, SMA female and BNC female connectors. It has built-in control and monitoring systems including forced air-cooling, has remote management and diagnostics functions via web server using an ethernet connection and offers system hardware encryption. The amplifier system offers IPV4 multilevel security which can be configured with its IP address through a web browser and has dedicated memory for event recording and factory default recovery. An additional memory option is also available for storage of control parameters and event logs.
