The 2213 from Empower RF Systems is a Solid State Broadband High Power Amplifier that operates from 2900 to 3500 MHz. This GaN amplifier system uses a multi-drawer integrated subsystem approach to produce over 10,000 Watts of output pulsed power with a gain of 70 dB. It has a pulse width of up to 100 us at a duty cycle of 6%. The 2213 Transmitter is based on Empower’s established and field-proven Next Generation architecture that is tactically deployed and operating on multiple levels in support of a variety of critical DOD missions.
The class AB amplifier comes complete with an internal directional coupler, external forward and reverse sample ports, and an easy to use web GUI. In-depth health monitoring with alarms visible on the front panel are also pushed out via the LAN port. For critical “on-air” applications, the 2213 provides "Graceful Output Power Degradation", backing down power to a safe operating level in the event of component failure or excessive Load VSWR condition.
This amplifier is available in a benchtop/rackmount package that measures 17 x 22.75 x 22 inches (13 RU + 2 RU sample port panel) with an N-type female connector at the input and a WR-285 waveguide interface at the output. The system comes standard to operate from 180-260 VAC single-phase or three-phase AC sources. It is ideal for use in radar, jamming, and mission-critical applications.
