The 2223 from Empower RF is a single band solid-state GaN system amplifier that operates from 0.6 to 6 GHz. It is capable of delivering more than 150 watts of output power with a power gain of over 53 dB. The amplifier is suitable for multi-octave bandwidth high power CW, modulated, and pulse applications. It utilizes high power GaN devices that provide wide frequency response, high gain, high peak power capability, and low distortions. Exceptional performance, long-term reliability and high efficiency are achieved by employing advanced broadband RF matching networks and combining techniques, EMI/RFI filters, and all qualified components.
The amplifier is constructed within a single 5RU drawer including the forced air-cooling and requires single-phase 220 VAC up to 400 Hz and 28 VDC voltage supply to operate. It comes complete with internal DDC, external forward and reverse sample ports, and an easy to use web served GUI with dedicated features for simplifying integration into your test application. For Machine to Machine (M2M) applications the 2223 utilizes TCP/IP or UDP protocol sockets.
The amplifier can be remotely managed and diagnostics can be run via an embedded web server allowing network managed site status and control simply by connecting the unit’s Ethernet port to a LAN. It can also be controlled from a web browser - the unit’s IP address (IPV4) allows ease of access with the benefit of multi-level security. The control system core runs an embedded OS (Linux), has a built-in non-volatile memory for event recording, and factory setup recovery features. The extended memory option allows storage of control parameters and event logs.
