The 2254 from Empower RF is a Solid-State Power Amplifier that operates from 2900 to 3500 MHz. It delivers a pulsed output power of over 15 kW (15 us pulse width and 15% duty cycle) with a power gain of 75 dB and has a pulse repetition frequency of up to 25 kHz. This class AB amplifier has an input return loss of less than -10 dB and a rise/fall time of 70 ns. The SSPA has harmonics of less than -30 dBc and spurious levels of less than -60 dBc.
The 2254 amplifier system includes a built-in control and monitoring system, with protection functions, which preserve maximum output availability and reliability. This amplifier includes features remote management and diagnostics that can be performed via the Ethernet port to a LAN with either a Web browser or M2M (Machine-to-Machine) interface or using the local touchscreen panel. It is available in a 19RU rackmount package that measures 22 x 33.25 x 40 inches and has N-type female connectors at the input and WR-284 waveguide interface at the output side. The amplifier requires an AC supply of 80-260 V and consumes less than 15 KW of power.
