The AMP1099B from Exodus Advanced Communications is a solid state GaN amplifier that operates from 0.7 to 6 GHz. The amplifier provides more than 50 watts of saturated power with a gain of over 47 dB and excellent linearity and harmonic performance. It requires a 30 V supply, has a 5 usec switching speeds for enable/disable functions and has built-in protection circuits. The amplifier supports most single channel modulation standards and is available in a small, ultra-lightweight, rugged package.
