The AMP3106 from Exodus Advanced Communications is a solid state power amplifier that operates from 10 to 18 GHz. This amplifier has been developed using a class AB linear GaAs FET hybrid design and delivers a gain of more than 43 dB with an output power of 20 watts and has a return loss of over 10 dB. The amplifier requires a supply voltage of 12 V DC and consumes 22 A of current. It is available in a rugged module that measures 170 x 180 x 27 mm with SMA female connectors. This SSPA is suitable for all modulation standards, has built-in protection circuits and an instantaneous wide bandwidth.
