Cerus 8 Image

The Cerus 8 from Filtronic is a power amplifier that operates in the E-Band from 71 to 76 GHz (AA021) and 81 to 86 GHz (AA022). It is designed using GaAs MMICs that are performance-matched and efficiently combined in a waveguide to deliver maximum power. The amplifier delivers a saturated output power of more than 28 dBm with a small signal gain of 24 dB. It supports 256-QAM modulation and is available in an 8-Way configuration (1-Way and 4-Way configurations also available). The amplifier requires a DC supply of -0.6/3.8 V. It amplifiers are available in a module with WR12 input/output interface.

The Cerus 8 has an integrated temperature sensor that provides users with accurate amplifier temperature data, and optional control circuitry facilitates functions including gain control, mute control, and alarms. They are ideal for airborne, military, commercial, and HAPS applications.
