F2480 Image

The F2480 from Renesas is an Analog Variable Gain Amplifier (AVGA) that operates from 400 MHz to 3000 MHz. It combines a voltage variable attenuator (VVA) with a Zero-Distortion RF amplifier, either of which can be configured as the first stage in the cascade. The AVGA provides a cascaded gain of up to 12 dB with a noise figure of 4.3 dB and 36 dB gain adjustment designed to operate with a single +5V supply.  Nominally, the Zero-Distortion™ amplifier offers +41.5dBm output IP3 using 106mA of ICC. The F2480 is available in a 5 x 5 mm, 32-TQFN package and is ideal for multi-mode, multi-carrier receivers, 3G/4G base stations, digital radio, point-to-point and public safety infrastructure.
