The LNF-LNC4_8SG from Low Noise Factory (LNF) is a Cryogenic Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) that operates from 4 to 8 GHz. It provides 40 dB of gain with a noise figure of 0.02 dB and a noise temperature of 1.5 K. This LNA is manufactured using LNF’s proprietary InP HEMT technology. It is not hermetically-sealed and therefore, it must be operated in a vacuum environment when the temperature reaches below the dewpoint. This cryogenic amplifier is stackable with a 140 mil pitch and utilizes Corning Gilbert’s coaxial connectors to establish connections with other components. It requires a DC supply of 0.6 V and consumes 13 mA of current. The LNA is available in a module that measures 15.480 x 13.800 x 3.556 mm with G3PO (male) connectors.
