The CMPA3135060S from MACOM is a GaN MMIC Power Amplifier that operates from 3.1 to 3.5 GHz. It delivers a saturated output power of more than 72 W with a small signal gain of over 36 dB. The amplifier provides higher breakdown voltage, higher saturated electron drift velocity and higher thermal conductivity compared to silicon or gallium arsenide counterparts. This MMIC power amplifier has a two-stage reactively matched amplifier design which helps it achieve an efficiency of up to 57%. It is available in a plastic surface-mount QFN package that measures 7 x 7 mm and is designed for S-Band radar power amplifier applications. It is ideal for air traffic control radar, defense surveillance radar, fire control radar military air, and land and sea radar and weather radar applications.
