The CMPA5259080S from MACOM is a GaN HEMT based Power Amplifier MMIC that operates from 5 to 5.9 GHz. It delivers an output power of more than 100 W with a gain of 21 dB and has a power added efficiency (PAE) of 47%. The MMIC has a two-stage reactively matched amplifier design which ensures high power and efficiency. It is designed to operate under long pulse conditions up to 500uS at a 10% duty cycle. The MMIC is designed primarily for use as an output stage for highly integrated AESA radar type architectures with exceptional power capability.

The CMPA5259080S is available in a QFN package that measures 7 x 7 mm and is suitable for civil and military pulsed radar applications.
