The MAAL-011229 from MACOM is a Low Noise Amplifier that operates from 17 to 55 GHz. It delivers 24 dB of small signal gain with a noise figure of 3.2 dB and a saturated output power of 24 dBm. This amplifier has a gain flatness of ±2 dB and a return loss of 12 dB (input/output). It is fabricated using a GaAs pHEMT process which features full passivation for enhanced reliability and can be used as a low noise amplifier stage or a driver stage in higher power.
This LNA requires a DC supply of 3 V and consumes 150 mA of current. It is available in a 12-lead SMT package that measures 5 x 5 x 1.77 mm and is ideal for test & measurement, EW, ECM and radar applications.
