The MAAP-011250 from MACOM is a Ka-Band, 4-stage Power Amplifier that operates from 27.5 to 30 GHz. It delivers a saturated output power of 4 W with a gain of more than 21 dB and a typical power added efficiency (PAE) of 20%. The amplifier is fabricated using a GaAs pHEMT process which features full passivation for enhanced reliability and has a temperature compensated output power detector. It can handle an input power of up to 17.5 dBm, has an operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C and can be used as a power amplifier stage or as a driver stage in higher power applications. The MAAP-011250 is available in a 32-lead AQFN plastic package that measures 5 x 5 mm and is suitable for VSAT and 28 GHz PTP applications.
