The DM-HPS-8-102-S from Mercury Systems is a Space-Qualified, Solid-State GaN Power Amplifier that operates from 2.2 to 2.3 GHz. It delivers an output power of 8 W (P3dB) with a gain of more than 44 dB. The amplifier includes a DC-DC converter and an EMI filter. It features temperature monitoring with an over-temperature shutdown (set at +95°C) and an over-current shutdown. The amplifier requires a DC supply of 22 - 37 V, consumes 40 W of power in the “ON” state, 5 W of power at “OFF” state, and can be controlled by TTL Logic to toggle between DC ON/OFF. The amplifier is available in a module that measures 4.5 x 4.5 x 1.7 inches with SMA Female connectors.
