The ICP1543 from Microchip is a 3-Stage MMIC Power Amplifier that operates from 12 to 18 GHz. It delivers an output of 43 dBm (~20 W) with a small signal gain of 24 dB and PAE of more than 32%. The amplifier is based on 0.15 µm GaN on SiC technology. It requires a DC supply of 20 V and consumes 300 mA of current. The amplifier is available as a bare die that measures 3.8 mm x 3.5 mm and is suitable for use in test and measurement and aerospace & defense applications.
