The LZY-5+ is a rugged high power amplifier from Mini Circuits that operates from 0.4 to 5 GHz. The amplifier provides a 100 Watt output with a gain of 52.5 dB, flatness of 0.3 dB and an IPD of 58 dBm. It has extensive safety features that include input overdrive protection, reverse polarity protection and thermal shutdown with automatic reset, enabling this amplifier to survive full reflections at the RF output up to 50 Watts. It can also withstand an accidental reverse DC bias. The amplifier also includes a thermal sensor and a DC current sensor which provide analog voltage output proportional to case temperature and DC operating current. A separate EMI-Filtered shutoff terminal is provided for remote amplifier ON/OFF control.
