The NW-PA-12B01A-02 from NuWaves is an L-Band Solid State Power Amplifier that operates from 1 to 2 GHz. It provides 16 W of saturated output power, has a P1dB of 31 dBm, and a small signal gain of up to 50 dB. The device can handle up to 10 dBm of input power and has a VSWR of 1.8:1. It is based on Gallium Nitride (GaN) technology which makes it ideal to be used with L-3 Communications’ Bandit miniature L-band transceiver along with size, weight, and power-constrained broadband RF telemetry and tactical communication systems. The amplifier is available in a module that measures 3 x 2 x 0.65 inches with SMA-Female connectors and is suitable for applications such as unmanned aircraft systems, unmanned ground vehicles, broadband RF telemetry, RF communication systems, and software-defined radios.
