The NW-BA-C-15-RX01 from NuWaves is a C-Band Bi-directional Amplifier module that operates from 4.4 to 4.9 GHz. It is ideal for extending the communication range of half-duplex transceivers with constant-envelope waveforms (i.e. PSK and FSK-based modulations, such as SOQPSK and GFSK), and delivers an RF transmit power of 15 Watts. In receive mode, the module provides a low noise figure of 3.5 dB with a gain of 10 dB. The module accepts a nominal +0 dBm input level and provides a transmit gain of more than 43 dB with 35% or better power efficiency. The BDA has a manual transmit/receive (T/R) control, with an extremely fast T/R mode switch time of under 2 uS. It is available in a module that measures 5.5 x 4.5 x 0.71 inches with SMA female connectors and is ideal for broadband RF telemetry, software defined radios, Unmanned Aircraft systems and communication systems.
