The NW-BA-C-20-RX01 from NuWaves is a C-Band Solid State Bidirectional Amplifier module that operates from 4.4 to 4.9 GHz. It provides a gain of 43 dB with a RF power of up to 20 watts while operating with 35% power efficiency. The BDA is ideal for extending the communication range of half-duplex transceivers with constant-envelope waveforms (i.e. PSK- and FSK-based modulations, such as SOQPSK and GFSK). It has a manual transmit / receive (T/R) mode selection, coupled with an extremely fast T/R mode switch time of under 2 uS. The amplifier is available in a module that measures 5.5 x 4.5 x 0.71 inches with SMA female connectors and is ideal for broadband RF telemetry, software defined radios, Unmanned Aircraft systems and communication systems.
