The NW-BA-VU4GX02 from NuWaves is a Bidirectional V- U-Band Amplifier module that operates from 225 to 512 MHz. It provides a signal gain of 31 dB with a linear RF power of up to 16 watts while operating with 25% power efficiency. The BDA is ideal for extending the communication range of half-duplex transceivers running high peak-to-average waveforms such as OFDM. It has a manual transmit / receive (T/R) mode selection, coupled with an extremely fast T/R mode switch time of under 4 uS. The amplifier is available in a module that measures 2.34 x 2.34 x 0.7 inches with SMA female connectors and is ideal for broadband RF telemetry, software defined radios, Unmanned Aircraft systems and communication systems.
