The AFIC10275GN from NXP Semiconductors is an Integrated LDMOS Power Amplifier that operates from 978 to 1090 MHz. It delivers a pulsed output power of 250 W (pulse duration of 128 µs, 10% duty cycle) with a gain of 32.1 dB and a 2nd stage efficiency of 61.4%. This amplifier requires a DC supply of 50 V and has an on-chip input (50 Ohm) & interstage matching. This amplifier has integrated ESD protection and quiescent current temperature compensation with enable/disable function. It is available in a TO-270WBG-14 plastic package that measures 18.29 x 11.76 x 2.64 mm.
The AFIC10275GN is ideal for pulse applications such as air traffic control systems (ATC) including ground-based secondary radars and mode S transponders including traffic alert & collision avoidance systems (TCAS), automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast in & Out (ADS-B) using, e.g., 1090 extended squitter or universal access transponder (UAT) & Mode S ELM interrogators applications.
