The POL500Ka from Polarity Inc. is a pulsed traveling wave tube amplifier (TWTA) that operates from 32 to 36 GHz and provides 500 Watts of peak power at 33% duty. This new Ka band pulsed TWTA can run continuously at rep rates above 1 MHz and short bursts at 2 MHz. It is ideal for ground mobile or airborne systems and for short range, high-resolution radar systems such as Surface Movement Radar (SMR).
The TWTA has a strong serial interface that communicates to a military proven MCU. The MCU provides advanced sync and control options and can be easily reconfigured to custom applications. A rich control protocol provides serial RS232/422/485, ethernet, and advanced user-friendly communication for data logging and cost-effective maintenance.
