The CMD163 is a 17 to 27 GHz low noise amplifier that is available in die form. It has a gain of 24 dB, noise figure of less than 1.3 dB, and P1dB of +9 dBm across the band. The LNA requires a positive bias – Vdd = 4 V @ 120 mA and Vgg = 3 V. It is ideally suited for military and space applications, as well as point-to-point and point-to-multipoint communication systems where small die size and high linearity are needed. The CMD163 is internally matched to 50 Ohms and does not require any external components.
