The CMD197C4 from Custom MMIC is a GaAs distributed driver amplifier that operates from 1 to 24 GHz. This device delivers 16 dB of gain with a corresponding output P1dB of +24 dBm, IP3 of 31 dBm and a noise figure of 2.5 dB. It requires a bias voltage of 5 to 8 V and draws 225 mA of current. This device is matched to 50 ohms which eliminates the need for RF port matching and includes an on chip bias choke. It is available in a leadless surface mount QFN package that measures 4x4mm and is ideally suited for military, space and communications systems where small size and high linearity are needed.
