The QPA0001 from Qorvo is a Driver Amplifier that operates from 8.5 to 10.5 GHz. It delivers an output power of 2 W with a small signal gain of 33 dB and a power-added efficiency (PAE) of 50%. This amplifier is fabricated on Qorvo’s 0.15 μm QGaN15-on-SiC process and incorporates active bias control to provide customers with bias point stability while reducing system complexity. It requires an active bias control of 16 V and consumes 55 mA of current. This amplifier is available in a QFN package that measures 4 x 3 mm and can support tight lattice spacing requirements for phased array radar applications.
