The QPA0017 from Qorvo is a Power Amplifier MMIC that operates in the Ku-Band from 13.75 to 14.5 GHz (optional 12.75 – 15.35 GHz). It delivers an output power of 44 dBm (25 W) with a gain of 30 dB and a power added efficiency of 35%. This amplifier is fabricated using Qorvo's production 0.15 um GaN-on-SiC process (QGaN15) and has on-chip blocking capacitors with DC grounded I/O ports for optimum ESD performance. It requires a DC supply of 24 V and consumes 340 mA of current. The amplifier is available in a surface-mount QFN package that measures 7.5 x 6.0 x 2.4 mm and is ideal for supporting communications and radar applications in both commercial and military markets.
