The QPA1022 from Qorvo is a GaN on SiC broadband power amplifier that operates from 8.5 to 11 GHz. It provides more than 4 watts of saturated output power with a power gain of 24.5 dB and a power added efficiency of 45%. This amplifier requires 22 volts of power supply and is matched to 50 Ohms with integrated DC blocking capacitors at RF output and DC grounded input port.
The amplifier is available in a 4 x 4 x 0.85 mm QFN package and suitable for phased array radar and electronic warfare applications. It is also an ideal component to support test instrumentation and commercial communication systems.
