QPL8834 Image

The QPL8834 from Qorvo is an ultra-linear 75-ohm Balanced Amplifier that operates from 5 to 1218 MHz. It provides a 12 dB of gain at 1218 MHz, has a P1dB of 24 dBm, and a noise figure of 4 dB. This IC is designed for applications requiring lower power dissipation and consumes 1.4 W of power while operating over a 5 V supply. It is manufactured using a GaAs pHEMT process and is available in an 8-pin SOIC package.

This amplifier is ideal for use as a Post Amplifier in Optical Receivers or as a low noise balanced preamp. It is also ideally suited for CATV amplifier applications in the forward or return path. Due to its wide operational bandwidth, the QPL8834 can be used as a downstream amp in DOCSIS 3.1 as well as an upstream amplifier for DOCSIS 3.1 or DOCSIS 4.0 applications.
