The RFCA8830 from Qorvo is a GaAs pHEMT RF balanced amplifier IC that operates from 45 MHz to 1218 MHz. It has a gain of 19 dB, a low noise figure of 2 dB and provides an output IP3 of 42 dBm. The IC has been designed to use as a Post Amplifier in Optical Receivers or low noise balanced preamp and to support the new DOCSIS 3.1 Data Over Cable specification. It requires a 5V power supply for applications that require lower power dissipation and can be used in hybrid fiber coaxial (HFC) optical nodes and balanced antenna applications.
