The RFPA5542 from Qorvo is a three-stage power amplifier module that operates from 4.9 GHz to 5.925 GHz. It provides a gain of 33 dB and an output power up to 23 dBm with an EVM of less than 1.8%. The module has an integrated regulator and provides excellent power added efficiency. It requires a supply from 4.75 to 5.25 V while drawing 430 mA of current. The amplifier is matched to 50 ohms and has been developed to minimize the required external components to maintain linear performance. It is available in a 20-pin QFN package that measures 4 x 4 x 0.90 mm.
