The TGA2219-CP from TriQuint is a 3-stage GaN on SiC power amplifier that operates from 13.4 GHz to 16.5 GHz. It has a small signal gain of more than 30 dB, a PAE of 31 % and provides a saturated output power up to 44 dBm. It requires a supply of 28 V and draws 450 mA of current. The amplifier is available in a 10-lead bolt-down package that measures 15 x 15 mm and is RoHS compliant. It can be used for communication and radar applications in commercial and military markets.
