The TGA2598-SM from Triquint is a GaN broadband driver amplifier that operates from 6 to 12 GHz. It provides up to 2 W of power with a power-added efficiency of more than 25 % and small signal gain of 25 dB. It is matched to 50 Ohms, requires a supply of 25 V and is available in 4 x 4 mm air-cavity ceramic QFN package. The amplifier can be used for commercial and military radar, electronic warfare and in communication systems.
