The F1490 from Renesas is a 2-Stage RF Amplifier that operates from 1.8 to 5 GHz. It delivers an OP1dB of 24 dBm (@2.6 GHz) with two selected gain modes of 35.5 dB and 39.5 dB and has a noise figure of 2.5 dB (@2.6 GHz). The device operates from a single 5V power supply and consumes 75 mA quiescent current. It is matched to 50-ohms at the input and output for ease of integration into the signal path. The amplifier benefits designers with simplified product selection for the transmitter (Tx) lineup - It eliminates the gain block with better margin, has two selectable gain modes for system design flexibility, has lower power consumption, and excellent performance.
This amplifier is available in a 16-pin QFN package that measures 3 x 3 mm and is ideal for 5G Sub-6 GHz massive MIMO, wireless infrastructure base stations, FDD or TDD systems, point-to-point infrastructure, public safety infrastructure, military handhelds, repeaters, and DAS, and general-purpose RF applications.
