The F6932 from Renesas is a Dual-Channel Low Noise Amplifier that operates in the Ka-Band from 17.7 to 21.2 GHz. It provides 22 dB of gain with a noise figure of less than 2 dB and has an output P1dB of -2 dBm. This amplifier is fabricated using a silicon on insulator (SOI) process and is designed for application in Ka-Band SATCOM planar phased array antennas. It has single-ended input and output pads matched to 50 Ohms for ease of integration into phased array antenna panels.
The exceptional combination of low power consumption, low noise, high gain, and compact size of this amplifier maximizes the antenna array G/T while minimizing overall system power dissipation. This LNA requires a DC supply of 1.2 V and consumes 17.5 mA of current. It is available in a 23-pin BGA package that measures 2.7 x 2.7 x 0.9 mm and is ideal for use in electronically steered phased array antennas (ESAs), aerospace, maritime, satcom-on-the-move, communication, electronic warfare (EW), and radar systems applications.
