The R&S®BBA300 from Rohde & Schwarz are Solid-State Amplifiers that operate from 380 MHz to 6 GHz. They deliver a linear output power of up to 300 W with outstanding noise power density and excellent harmonic characteristics. This single amplifier solution eliminates the need to switch instruments or bands during a test, which facilitates testing on automotive and ultrawide band wireless communication radios. The amplifiers support amplitude, frequency, phase, pulse and complex OFDM modulation modes. They provide robust operation under all mismatch conditions which makes them ideal for deployment in radiated electromagnetic susceptibility (EMS) test setups.
The R&S BBA300 family comprehensively addresses the requirements of EMC test centers, RF component designers and product design & validation. They have a low adjacent channel leakage ratio (ACLR) and excellent transfer characteristics without any additional EVM. These properties enable the coexistence of different radio standards as well as transmission and reception in adjacent channels carrying complex OFDM signals, without requiring any additional components such as filters.
These amplifiers have flexible and scalable functions and configurations with expandable frequency and power capacity. The R&S®BBA300 has a modern software platform that provides a positive user experience with a web GUI or a 10" touchscreen. It supports the role-based operation and allows functional extensions to be enabled as needed.
The R&S®BBA300 covers the entire range of GSM, LTE, 5G, and GPRS mobile communications frequencies as well as the frequencies of the WLAN, Bluetooth®, and Zigbee wireless standards. These amplifiers are available in rack-mountable enclosures that measure 430 x 196 x 580 mm with N-type (female) connectors.
These amplifiers are available in two models - The BBA300-DE operates from 1 GHz to 6 GHz and the BBA300-CDE offers 380 MHz to 6 GHz.
