The SKY65006-348LF from Skyworks is a linear, high-gain two-stage InGaP power amplifier that operates from 2.4 to 2.5 GHz. It has an integrated output power detector and second harmonic (F2) filter, designed to reduce the PCB component count. The amplifier provides up to 27 dB of gain and +18 dBm of linear power for 802.11g, +21 dBm of mask-compliant power for 802.11b and 15.4 dBm of power for 15.4 dBm. It also has an integrated low pass filter that is highly effective in reducing harmonics at their source by localizing harmonic rejection to a tiny portion of the PA chip. This significantly reduces the risk of radiation from a high-order filter design external to the amplifier. It operates over a DC supply of 3.3 V and requires no input and output matching components for 50-ohm operation.
The SKY65006-348LF is available in a 16-pin QFN package that measures 3.00 x 3.00 x 0.75 mm and is designed for ISM, IEEE 802.11b, 802.11g WLAN, and ZigBee band applications.
