The SkyLiTE™ SKY77643-81 from Skyworks Solutions is a Power Amplifier Module (PAM) that operates from 663 to 2570 MHz. This PAM consists of a WCDMA/LTE block for low, high, and mid-bands, a multi-function control (MFC) block and has been developed for 3G/4G handsets. It is fully programmable through a MIPI® interface and uses a CMOS integrated circuit that provides the internal MFC interface and operation using standard MIPI controls. In 3G operation, this module supports CDMA, WCDMA, High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA), High-Speed Uplink Packet Access (HSUPA), High-Speed Packet Access (HSPA+), and TD-SCDMA modulations.
The InGaP and Silicon die, and passive components are mounted on a multi-layer laminate substrate and the complete assembly is encapsulated in a plastic overmold. It is available in an MCM 42-pad package that measures 4.00 x 6.80 x 0.75 mm and with RF input/output ports internally matched to 50 ohms. This amplifier module is ideal for use in 3G/LTE multi-band handsets.
