The SKY77794-12 SkyBlue™ Power Amplifier Module (PAM)from Skyworks Solutions has been developed for 3G/4G handsets that operate in LTE Band 42 (3400 to 3600 MHz). This amplifier meets spectral linearity requirements of LTE modulation with QPSK/16QAM up to 20 MHz bandwidth, including various resource block allocations, with good power-added efficiency. It has an InGaP/GaAs die and passive components mounted on a multi-layer laminate substrate and the complete assembly is encapsulated in a plastic overmold.
The amplifier is available in an MCM 8-pad package that measures 2.00 x 1.80 x 0.65 mm and is ideal for use in multi-band handsets and TDD LTE/FDD LTE-modulated handsets for LTE band 42. It has internally matched I/O ports to 50 ohms which minimizes the need for external components and provides extremely low leakage current with maximized handset standby time.
