BHCDP928978-4000 Image

The BHCDP928978-4000 from Stellant Systems is a GaN Solid State Power Amplifier that operates from 9.2 to 9.7 GHz. It provides up to 4000 W of peak output power with a gain of 66 dB. This class AB amplifier has a pulse width of 40 µs with a duty cycle of 10 % and a phase noise of -120 dBc/Hz. It is fabricated using GaN technology and has self-protection circuits for load VSWR, duty factor, pulse width, and temperature parameters. The amplifier is designed for harsh environmental conditions and can be used as a replacement for TWT amplifiers.

The BHCDP928978-4000 requires a DC supply of 48 V and has an ethernet (RJ-45) control interface. It is available in a benchtop enclosure that measures 19 x 17 x 7 inches and has an SMA-female connector at the input and a WR-90 waveguide interface at the output. The amplifier is ideal for X-band radar applications.
